US farmers may lose Chinese markets for good – agriculture official

China will be able to guarantee supplies of agriculture products after imports from the US fall, however, American farmers are likely to lose the Chinese market for good, warns Han Jun, deputy head of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs on Sunday.

China’s retaliatory tariffs on American products covers “almost all US exports of agriculture products to China,” said Han in an interview with China's state news agency Xinhua.
