The total volume of iron ore dispatched to global destinations from the 19 ports and 16 mining companies in Australia and Brazil under Mysteel's regular tracking failed to extend the prior week's growth and dropped by 309,000 tonnes or 1.2% on week to 24.6 million tonnes during October 14-20, mainly due to the reduction in ore shipments from Brazil.
Over the latest survey period, Brazilian iron ore shipped worldwide from the country's nine ports retreated by 1.2 million tonnes or 14.2% on week to 7.3 million tonnes . . .
