BYD Surpasses 2024 Sales Target by 20%, Initiate New Price Cuts to Boost Car Sales

Chinese electric vehicle maker BYD surpassed its sales target by nearly 20% in 2024 and aims to maintain its upward sales trajectory through price cuts this year.

BYD's EV sales jumped 41% year-over-year to nearly 4.3 million units last year, with December sales alone reaching 514,800 units, the carmaker announced. The full-year sales target was around 3.6 million vehicles, and actual sales exceeded that goal by 19%.
