China’s auto sales in May rose 14.5 per cent from the same period a year earlier, rising for the second consecutive month as the world’s biggest automobile market recovers from coronavirus lockdowns.

Automobile sales increased to 2.19 million vehicles in May, according to data from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM), the country’s largest auto industry association.
