China's newly installed solar power capacity is estimated to reach 75-90GW in 2022, marking a new record high, according to a top industry association, as the country make efforts to pursue its carbon cut targets by increasing renewable energy.

China could add at least 75GW solar power capacity in 2022 to its already massive capacity, Wang Bohua, chairman of the China Photovoltaic Industry Association (CPIA), said at a press conference on Wednesday.
