China may put US firms on “unreliable entity list” after US expands restrictions on Huawei

China may put US companies in an “unreliable entity list,” as part of countermeasures against the US latest decision to block shipments of semiconductors to Huawei Technologies.

Chinese authority may launch investigations and impose restrictions on US technology companies such as Apple Inc, Cisco Systems Inc, Qualcomm Inc and suspend purchase of Boeing airplanes, reported the state-run Global Times on Friday.

“Based on what I know, if the US further blocks key technology supply to Huawei, China will activate the ‘unreliable entity list,’ restrict or investigate US companies such as Qualcomm, Cisco and Apple . . .
