China passes law restricting exports of sensitive goods, technologies amid Sino-US tensions

China passed a law restricting exports of controlled items such as sensitive goods, services and technologies, allowing the government to act against countries that abuse export controls in a way that harm’s China’s interests, according to the official Xinhua News Agency.

“China may take countermeasures against any country or region that abuses export-control measures and poses a threat to China’s national security and interests, according to the law,” said Xinhua.
