China recorded lower tourist trips during the week-long Spring Festival holiday due to travel restrictions to contain the Covid-19 resurgence in several regions.
Chinese tourists made 251 million domestic trips during the holiday, down 2% from a year earlier and representing about 73.9% of the level seen during the same period in 2019 before the pandemic struck, according to data released by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
