Over the past year, China issued eight important policy documents regarding the development and utilization of public data, the high-quality development of the digital economy, the digital transformation of cities, promoting common prosperity through the digital economy, the three-year action plan for “Data Element ×,” the national integrated computing network, and guidelines for the construction of the national data standards system, said Liu Liehong, Director of the National Data Administration, at an event on Friday.
Looking ahead, the administration plans to release seven additional documents on enterprise data development and utilization, the high-quality development of the data industry, public data resource registration, public data authorized operation, data spaces, and the governance of data circulation security, Liu said.
China will also make efforts to establish and improve the data property rights system, refine data circulation and trading rules, enhance data security governance, and ensure that data can be effectively supplied, circulated, utilized, and secured, he said.
