China Unicom to proceed with spin-off listing of China Unicom Smart Connect Technology

China Unicom said that the company may proceed with the proposed spin-off listing of China Unicom Smart Connection Technology Limited (SMART Connection Technology) on the STAR Market on the Shanghai Stock Market, according to its filing to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

The Proposed Spin-off is subject to the approval at the shareholders’ general meeting of China United Network Communications Limited, the controlling shareholder of the company, and is also subject to the approval(s) from the China Securities Regulatory Commission and the Shanghai Stock Exchange, it said.
