China ranks second globally for computing power after a five-year period of rapid growth, and the country’s big data sector is likely to be worth more than 3 trillion yuan ($447.3 billion) by 2025, said Zhang Yunming, an official from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
China’s computing power surpassed 140 exaflops at the end of 2021, after logging average annual growth of over 30% in the past five years, he said.
