Chinese top policymakers said the country will make more efforts to stimulate consumption, including boosting automobile and home appliance sales in the rural areas, to strengthen the economic recovery in the wake of the coronavirus crisis.
China will roll out more measures to boost the consumption of consumer goods while supporting the recovery of the service sector, such as the tourism sector which was hard hit by the coronavirus pandemic, according to a statement released after a State Council executive meeting chaired by Premier Li Keqiang on Wednesday.
