Chinese capital Beijing saw slightly stronger land sales in this year's first round of land auctions compared to late 2021, but most land buyers were state-backed property developers as private homebuilders are still struggling in a liquidity stress.

The city offered 18 land plots in the round of auctions, with 17 land plots successfully changed hands and auction of one land plot failed, according to public information released by the municipal local government . . .
