China’s coal prices jump 20% this month to hit 1,000 yuan/tonne mark

After a sharp decline at the end of 2021, China's thermal coal prices have recently resumed gains, jumping by nearly 20% so far this month to reach around 1,000 yuan per tonne mark.

According to the Thermal Coal Purchasing Price Index released by the China Electricity Council, China's spot thermal coal prices hit 1,010 yuan per tonne on January 21, rising 3.8% from the previous week and jumping . . .
