China’s commercial vehicle production and sale declined at a slower pace in July as a raft of supportive measures kicked in, consumer confidence recovers and demand from infrastructure and logistics increased, said the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers.

China’s commercial vehicle sales reached about 246,000 units in July, falling 12.5% from the prior month and sliding 21.5% from a year earlier, narrowing from the decline in June, it said.

Commercial vehicle production reached about 244,000 units, down 6.2% from the previous month and sliding 22.9% from a year ago, said the ministry.

In January – July, commercial vehicle sales reached 1.95 million units, sliding 39.3% from the same period last year, showed the data. Commercial vehicle output reached 1.93 million units, sliding 36.9% from a year earlier.
