China’s crude oil imports fell on year in Jan – Jul, average price surged 58.3% – customs data

China’s crude oil imports reached 37.33 million tonnes in July, rising from 35.82 million tonnes in the previous month, according to data released by China’s General Administration of Customs.

Crude oil imports in Jan – Jul reached 290 million tonnes, down 4% from a year earlier, with average price at 4,736.1 yuan per tonne, surging 58.3% from a year ago, according to China’s customs data.

Refined oil product imports reached 1.63 million tonnes in July, down from 1.64 million tonnes in June, and refined oil imports reached 13.2 million tonnes, sliding 12.1% from a year ago, with average price surging 40% to 5,350.6 yuan per tonne.

Natural gas imports reached 8.7 million tonnes in July, down from 8.72 million tonnes in June, and natural gas imports in the first seven months of the year reached 62.2 million tonnes, sliding 9.6% from a yer earlier, with average import price reached 3,787.6 yuan per tonne, surging 63.1% from a year earlier.
