China's total electricity consumption is expected to grow by 5% - 6% in 2022 from the previous year, slowing by 4 percentage points from the growth in the previous year, reaching 8.7 trillion to 8.8 trillion kilowatt-hours, according to a report issued by the China Electricity Council (CEC) on Thursday.
