China electricity consumption reached 745.1 billion kWh in June, rising 4.7% from a year earlier, with average daily electricity consumption rising 14.7% from the previous month, according to data released by the National Energy Administration.
In breakdown, electricity consumption in the primary sector rose 12.4% on year to 10.5 billion kWh; secondary sector rose 0.8% to 494.9 billion kWh; and tertiary sector up 10.1% to 135.1 billion kWh, showed the data. Electricity consumption in the household sector surged 17.7% on year in June 104.6 billion kWh.
In the first six months of the year, China’s electricity consumption rose 2.9% on year to 4.1 trillion kWh, said the NEA.
