China's electricity consumption is expected to grow at a slower pace in April compared to the previous month amid Covid-19 outbreaks and the full-year growth in 2022 will likely slow by 4 - 5 percentage points to 5% - 6%, according to estimates by the China Electricity Council, the country's largest electricity industry body.

Separately, CITIC Securities estimated that China's power consumption will grow by around 2% in April from a year . . .
