China’s fixed-asset investment grew by 5.8% to 36.71 trillion yuan in the period of January – August from a year earlier, according to NBS data, compared to 5.7% growth in the first seven months, expected 5.3% growth.

Investment in the manufacturing sector grew by 10% from a year earlier and infrastructure investment grew by 8.3% on year, showed the data.
