China's food prices which surged in the run-up to the Spring Festival have been falling rapidly after the holiday, while commodity prices are climbing amid global monetary easing and growing expectations for economic recovery.

The China Agricultural Product Price Index 200, which tracks wholesale prices of major farming goods, has slid for seven consecutive days as of February 24, the first working day after the holiday week, falling to 133.5, the lowest level since January 9 and down . . .
