China’s home appliance sales pick up significantly driven by consumer goods trade-in policy – research

China's consumer goods trade-in policy has been gradually implemented across various regions since August and as of September 20th, a total of 29 provincial- and municipal-level regions have released details on the policy, CICC said in a research report.

Offline retail sales of major home appliances in regions including Wuhan province, Chongqing city, Sichuan province, Zhejiang province, and Yunnan province have picked up significantly, it noted.

In Chongqing, offline retail sales of air conditioners in the 35th, 36th and 37th week of this year (August 26 - September 15) skyrocketed 2,012%, 109 . . .
