China's housing market remained sluggish in May despite a series of supportive measures, with home prices declining further and in particular, more cities seeing second-hand home prices drop.

Home prices in the 70 major cities largely extended a downward trend in May, though the prices declined at a slower pace on a month-on-month basis, with fewer cities seeing new home prices drop, said the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on Thursday . . .
