China's new homes prices grew moderately in December amid government efforts to cool housing markets which rebounded rapidly from the impact of the coronavirus outbreak.

Average new home prices in 70 major cities rose 0.1 per cent in December from the previous month, showed calculations based on data released by the National Bureau of Statistics on Friday, in line with the pace of growth a month earlier.

On a year-on-year basis, new home prices rose 3.8 per cent last month, slowing slightly from a 4 per cent increase in November . . .
