China’s LNG prices surge, adding pressure on gas distributors

China's liquefied natural gas (LNG) prices have been surging driven by soaring prices in the international market, adding pressure on downstream city gas distributors.

Average LNG factory-gate price stood at 7,284 yuan per tonne as of October 29, surging by 98 per cent from the same period last earlier, according to data from the Shanghai Petroleum and Gas Exchange.
