China's new home prices rose on month in January for the first time since September last year, after the authority took a series of measures to support the sluggish housing market.

Average new home prices in China's 70 major cities rose 0.1% from a month earlier in January, compared with the 0.2% drop in December, showed calculations based on data released by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on Monday.
