China's power battery giant Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. Ltd (CATL) saw its installed capacity plummet 53% in April from the month before, according to data released by the China Automotive Power Battery Industry Innovation Alliance on Wednesday.

The world's biggest battery maker, whose clients include Tesla, Volkswagen and BMW, still led in overall installed capacity of EV batteries . . .
