China’s retail sales of passenger vehicles reached about 285,000 units in the first week of August, rising 21% from a year earlier, sliding 57% from the previous week, but up 3% from the same period in July, according to the China Passenger Car Association.

Wholesale volume of passenger vehicles in the week reached about 279,000 units, rising 18% from a year earlier, sliding 69% from the previous week, and down 2% from the same period in July, showed the data.
