China’s retail sales of passenger cars last week rose 21% from week before

China’s retail sales of passenger vehicles reached about 335,000 units in the week of July 11 – 17, rising 16% from a year earlier, jumping 21% from the previous week, but down 15% from the same period in June, according to the China Passenger Car Association.

Wholesale volume of passenger cars reached about 360,000 units in the week, surging 35% from a year ago, rising 26% from the previous week, but sliding 12% from the same period in the month before, showed the data.

In the period of July 1 – 17, retail sales of passenger cars reached about 731,000 units, rising 16% on year, but down 10% from the same period last month, and wholesale volume of passenger vehicles reached about 769,000 units in the period, rising 24% from a year earlier, but down 6% from the same period in June, said the association.
