China’s services activity expands at fastest pace in three months, new hiring picks up – private survey

China's services sector activity expanded at the fastest pace in three months in August driven by strong growth of new orders and the biggest increase in hiring in over a year, shows a private survey.

The Caixin/Markit services purchasing managers’ index (PMI) picked up to 52.1 in August, the best performance since May, compared with 51.6 a month earlier, extending the growth streak since late 2015 . . .
