China’s shipping futures hit new record high after Houthi armed group attacked US, Israeli vessels

China's shipping futures stage a strong rally after Yemen’s Iran-aligned Houthi armed group says it attacked US and Israeli vessels.

The most-traded contract of the Containerized Freight Index (Europe Service) Futures on the Shanghai International Energy Exchange, for June Delivery, jumped as much as 9.1% to hit a new record high of 2,999 at one point, before closing 8.5% at 2,981.4.
