China Southern Airlines said its subsidiary Xiamen Airlines has signed an agreement to buy 40 A320NEO aircrafts from Airbus, according to a stock exchange filing.
Based on the the aircrafts’ list prices of about $105 – 136 million per unit, the total price of the 40 aircrafts will be about $4.848 billion (about 33.8 billion yuan), according to the filing.
As Airbus provides substantial discounts to Xiamen Airlines, the actual price for the purchase will lower than the above-mentioned price, it said.
