Zhejiang Leapmotor Technology, a Chinese electric vehicle, is reported to start book-building and price negotiation as early as next week, so as to conduct its HK IPO, according to Bloomberg News.

Leapmotor in late August won approval from the Hong Kong stock exchange for its planned listing in the city, becoming the latest Chinese electric vehicle startup to cash in a consistent wave of hype and investment following Nio, Xpeng Motors, and Li Auto.

Earlier this month, it had been reported that the company weighed to call off the Hong Kong listing plan as investors showed little appetite towards the offering, but the company’s founder and investment bankers later denied the report.
