Chinese President Xi met Japanese Prime Minister for first time

Chinese President Xi Jinping will hold a bilateral meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida for the first time on the sidelines of the upcoming Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation forum summit in Bangkok, said China’s Foreign Ministry on Wedensday.

The two leaders will exchange opinions on international and regional issues that are of mutual interest, the ministry said.

China and Japan will properly handle differences and build a bilateral relationship in accordance with the new era, it said.
