Chinese stocks bounced on Monday, with the Shanghai Composite Index closed 1.1 per cent higher at 2698 after hitting 2698 intraday, a new low in the latest round of correction. The Chinext Index climbed back into gaining territory to close 0.1 per cent higher at 1435, after dipping nearly 2 per cent intraday. Shenzhen Component index gained near 0.7 per cent to 8414 by close after dropping 1.4 per cent lower intraday.
The market bounce comes as overseas fund flows into the Chinese A-share through the stock connect scheme between Hong Kong and the mainland . . .
