China's southern Guangdong province, the powerhouse of the world's second largest economy, has rolled out new measures to boost consumption, in particular to stimulate spending on automobiles, in the latest move to reinvigorate the economy amid escalating trade tensions with the United States.
The province will implement 29 new measures to stabilise consumption expectation, improve consumption environment and do more work to form a unified market, according a document released by the local government on Tuesday.
