High-frequency data shows China’s post-holiday economic activities weaker than previous years, analysts say

High-frequency data from various research institutes shows that China's economic activities after the Spring Festival holiday have been weaker than the same period in previous years.

A high-frequency index compiled by the investment bank China International Capital Corporation (CICC) showed that post-holiday economic activities were weaker than the same period in 2019 and 2021, though it's stronger than the same period in 2020 when the Covid-19 outbreak started.
