Hong Kong invoked emergency rule to ban masks in protests


Hong Kong’s chief executive Carrie Lam on Friday invoked an emergency rule for the first time in nearly half a century to impose a ban on wearing masks during protests, in a move to use all available means to stop escalating street violence after nearly four months of anti-government demonstrations.
