Hong Kong GDP shrank 4.2% in Q4, contracted 3.5% in 2022

Hong Kong's GDP shrank by 4.2% year over year in real terms in the fourth quarter of 2022, according to advance estimates by the Census and Statistics Department, compared with a contraction of 4.6% in the third quarter. 

The decline of GDP was mainly attributable to the continued weak performance in external trade during the quarter.
