Hong Kong stocks open higher on Friday, with the benchmark Hang Seng Index up 0.38%, the Hang Seng China Enterprises Index up 0.45%, and the Hang Seng Tech Index up 0.71%.

Technology heavyweights are mostly higher, with Xiaomi gaining more than 2% after it unveiled a humanoid robot dubbed CyberOne, weighing 52kg and measuring 177cm tall, although it was not ready for mass production.

New energy vehicle makers, sports goods producers, dairy companies, telecommunication companies, casino operators and oil companies are mostly higher, while gas distributors, paper producers and building material suppliers are mostly lower.

Chinese A-shares open lower, with the benchmark Shanghai Compositr Index down 0.18% to 3,275, the Shenzhen Component Index down 0.17% and the tech-heavy Chinext Price Index down 0.32%.

Securities brokers, insurance companies, aerospace companies and semiconductor companies open lower, while oil companies, coal miners and computer equipment companies are slightly higher.
