Local governments announced plans to issue over 1 tn yuan bonds in first quarter

A total of 18 provinces and cities have so far disclosed plans to issue local government bonds in the first quarter, with new special-purpose bond issuance approaching 900 billion yuan.

As of January 9, 18 provinces and cities including Henan province, Qingdao city have announced plans to issue a combined 1.04 trillion yuan of local government bonds in the first quarter of the year, including 143.4 billion yuan of new general-purpose bonds and 899.8 billion yuan of new special-purpose bonds . . .
