Chinese local governments have announced more than 800 billion yuan bond issuance in January, more than double the amount in the same period last year and the third highest one-month issuance since 2018.
They have announced plans to issue combined 861.7 billion yuan worth of bonds this month and 634.4 billion yuan bonds have been issued, according to a statement released by the Ministry of Finance on Tuesday.
