Authorities in Macau will ease quarantine requirements for inbound travelers from locations outside of mainland China from Aug. 6.

Travelers arriving from Hong Kong, Taiwan, or other international locations may quarantine for a shorter seven-day period instead of 10 days if they test negative for COVID-19 on arrival, though individuals must take five nucleic acid tests during quarantine and undergo self-health management for three more days, it said.

Authorities have also resumed quarantine-free travel from Macau to Zhuhai as of Aug. 4. Travelers must complete a health declaration, present a negative nucleic acid test result taken within 24 hours before arrival, and take another nucleic acid test within 48 hours after entering Zhuhai.
