Macau’s gross gaming revenue (GGR) slipped 10.7% year on year to about MOP3.9 billion ($ 481 million) in October, rising 31.6% from the previous month, according to data released by the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau.

October’s revenue remained 85% lower than the same period in 2019, when the city’s gross gaming revenue reached MOP26.4 billion in October.

Over the first ten months of the year, Macau’s gross gaming revenue plunged 50.5% year on year to MOP35.7 billion.

The year-on-year fall of the monthly GGR has narrowed over the past few months in the lead-up to a much-anticipated return of tourists on package tours from across the border.
