Mainland Chinese homebuyers registered a total of 5,408 primary home transactions in Hong Kong in the first 11 months of this year, according to data from the Hong Kong Land Registry, citing an analysis based on known buyer names.

This figure represents a sharp increase of over 1.5 times from 2,119 transactions recorded for the entire year of last year, setting a new record high.
