Mainland tourists' bookings for Thailand hotels in Spring Festival holidays surged nearly 12 times

Booking volume for hotels in Thailand by Chinese tourists during the Spring Festival holidays have so far surged almost 12 times from the same period last year, according to data from China's largest online travel agency Trip.com.

Overall, bookings for hotels in Thainland by mainland travellers so far in January have jumped nearly 21-fold from a year ago, the data showed.
