China sees surging demand for online education, remote work services amid coronavirus outbreak, shares soared

China is seeing a surge in demand for online education and remote work services as people are told to stay at home to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus epidemic.

As schools across the country have delayed the opening date as required by the Ministry of Education, more than 80 educational companies have offered free online courses to students in China. The country currently has almost 280 million students ranging from kindergarten to universities.

Alibaba's online enterprise service platform Dingding says more than 200 million users are now working remotely since most cities . . .
