China may bail out another regional lenders

Bank of Gansu Co. Ltd. is set to be the next troubled regional bank to get a state bailout as the government and regulators move forward with their campaign to reduce risks in the financial system.

Related government agencies in China's northwestern Gansu province is pushing for a strategic restructuring of the Bank of Gansu and there will be some progress very soon, said Huang Xiaolong, deputy head of the financial stability bureau of the People's Bank of China (PBOC), at a press briefing on Friday.
