Prices of photovoltaic glass in China rose rapidly this week to hit the highest this year, according to data from new energy consultancy Energy Trend of TrendForce.
Mainstream price of 3.2 mm pv glass rose by 5.66% to 28 yuan per square meter and the price of 2.0 mm pv glass rose by 7.5% to 21.5 yuan per square meter, according to the data.
As pv module companies’ operating rate increases recently, inventories of pv glass have been falling slowly, and meanwhile, prices of material natural gas and sodium carbonate have also increased, it said.
