Shanghai scrambles to resume business from lockdowns, Tesla’s Gigafactory operates at half capacity as auto supply chain yet to recover

China's financial and commercial hub of Shanghai is accelerating its pace of recovery from the six-week lockdown imposed to contain the latest wave of Omicron outbreak while some key factories are still operating below half capacity.

Wu Xiaohua, an official from the city's Lingang Special Area, home to production bases for many key companies such as Tesla, said that 301 of the area's 315 companies, or 95.6%, had resumed production . . .
